If you’ve come to this page, it’s most likely that we already know each other. But, can you ever really know another person? Sure, we provide the best version of ourselves in our painfully guarded interactions, but what complexities lie below the facade? What secrets do we harbor?
Well, internet stranger, I’m not going to tell you. Instead, I’ll give you the highlights. I am an aspiring writer, having earned an MFA from Hamline University’s Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Children program (or MFAC, for short, as shortening things is the device of the current age, is it not?) It’s a great and wonderful place, full of great and wonderful people.
I’m also a teacher, a gig I’ve been doing since 1999. While teaching is a rewarding vocation I can’t help but be a tiny bit disappointed that none of the thousands of students I’ve taught have gone on to become multi-millionaires who show their gratitude by giving me a check for one million dollars. Maybe someday.
The writings on this site span many years of false starts and fallow periods. The web hosting company has certainly gotten a lot of money out of me. Money I’ll never get back.
Need that famous multi-millionaire student to step up, if they exist.
